Welcome Back to School

Message from the Principal

Dear Sunset School Families,
Welcome to a new school year at Sunset School! We are excited to begin another year of learning, growth, and opportunity with our students and families. There is so much to look forward to, and we are grateful to have you as partners in this important work.
At Sunset School, our vision is clear: to ensure every student learns at the highest level through a culture of excellence, accountability, and equity. We believe every child deserves access to high-quality instruction, meaningful learning opportunities, and the support they need to reach their full potential.
To bring this vision to life, we will focus on building strong systems that support student success, using data to drive instructional decisions, consistently implementing district-adopted curricula, and taking responsibility and action based on results. We will celebrate what is working, identify where we need to grow, and work together to make the changes necessary to ensure our students continue to thrive.
A special welcome goes out to our new class of 3rd graders joining the Dolphin Pod! We are thrilled to have you become part of the Sunset School community. We know this year will bring new challenges, new discoveries, and many opportunities to learn and grow together.
As we begin this school year, we ask for a strong family/school partnership. Your support, communication, and involvement make a meaningful difference in your child's success. Together, we can create a learning environment where students feel valued, challenged, supported, and empowered to achieve at the highest level.
We are incredibly excited about the year ahead and all that we will accomplish together. Thank you for entrusting us with your children and for being an essential part of the Sunset School community.

Sincerely,

Kara Davidson, Principal
